This is a fanfic for the game Settlemoon! It's an amazing town management/idle-ish game. I mean, if it wasn't amazing, I wouldn't have written a story about it. It has a very different feel to most idle games: rather than being about riding a wave of increasingly exponential growth, the focus is on slowly figuring out the game's mechanics and putting together its story. What's important is that it is endlessly charming. The story is told through pamphlets you unlock over time, and I could not help but fall in love with the characters.
Despite having very little to go on (the pamphlets focus on art over text, giving you only brief glimpses into the lives of these characters), Giik's art is just so expressive and endearing that I became enamored with them anyway. So here you go, a story I wanted to write about two characters who don't even interact in the game I just needed to see them together. I hope you enjoy it!
